It’s understood with every single year you get
A little closer to how they were
There ain’t no fighting though you’re welcome to try
And now you hear plenty of comparisons
You put yourself underneath the light
They say the pair falls never far from the tree
What did you to make her throw you out?
Well I know it's been a while
Innocent kids just trying to make some sense
But I think we're missing files
The pattern starts and never keeps you up
And you’re the heir to a crooked king
You’re next in line and need a far better suit
Then suddenly you had some luck
You found a way to break the chains
They wrapped around your legs
And tied em to the walls
It’s still a riddle that you’ll never solve
What did you to make her throw you out?
Well I know it's been a while
Innocent kids just trying to make some sense
But I think we're missing files
I’ll just assume you came home late one night
Reeking of perfume and cheap red wine
Did you just get lazy or is there a part of you
Hoping you get caught

It has forever cemented itself as a relatable, earnest, and heartfelt album to me. Some of my best and worst moments have lived side by side with these songs. I don't believe my life has ever been the same after. Thank you Slaughter Beach, Dog. <3 daifaux
